A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to invalid addresses under the exact same domain name. For example, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from friends or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

In case you’ve got a hosting plan with our company and you would like to activate the catch-all functionality for a specific email mailbox that you’ve got in your web hosting account, it’ll take literally only a click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to accomplish this. A catch-all button is available on the right-hand side of each email address that you have set up under any domain name hosted in the account. You can select one single address per domain by clicking on the respective button. This will activate the feature instantaneously, so all messages sent to miswritten addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking the button for a second time will deactivate the catch-all feature. In case you have activated email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary notification and you won’t be able to enable the catch-all feature until you delete the forwarding or you can simply pick another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to create a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you have a semi-dedicated plan with our company and your email messages are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the mailboxes that you set up with any domain hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate this feature will be to click on that icon. In the same way you will be able to remove the feature, in case you don’t need it anymore. Our system will let you know in case you are attempting to activate a second catch-all email address for a specific domain or if there is activated email forwarding, but it’ll never deactivate or modify any feature automatically and without your consent.
